Who We Are
Uvida was founded in 2025 by Exercise Physiologist Matt Worland to address a gap in care for people navigating complex health challenges. We bring together lifestyle medicine, behavioural health science, and personalised coaching to help people move forward with confidence. What started as an online coaching program has grown into lifestyle centres and programs focused on where lifestyle-based care can make the biggest difference.
Today, Uvida is working toward a larger purpose: becoming Australia’s leading provider and platform for individualised lifestyle medicine. Because recovery, health and wellbeing are deeply human experiences — and people deserve care that honours that.

Matt Worland
Founder | Principal Health and Recovery Partner
Matt is an Exercise Physiologist, health coach, and current Master’s candidate in Lifestyle Medicine, practising since 2015. Across his career, he has led large multidisciplinary allied health teams and worked closely with individuals navigating injury, mental health challenges, and the complex pressures of modern life.
Early in his clinical work, Matt developed a deep passion for supporting people experiencing mental ill‑health. He saw how exercise and lifestyle‑based approaches could restore agency, confidence, and momentum, often serving as a turning point in someone’s recovery. This experience sparked a long‑term exploration into behaviour change, lifestyle medicine, and the broader determinants of health that shape how people heal, cope, and thrive.
Before founding Uvida, movement had already played a defining role in Matt’s life. He spent years playing rugby competitively, including a season living and playing abroad in Spain; an experience that cemented his appreciation for the connection between physical activity, identity, and wellbeing.
These days, the rugby boots are hung up, but Matt still loves to keep moving. You’ll still find him out on the Southern Gold Coast breaks, training for whatever new fitness challenge his wife has signed them up for, or spending time with his two young children: the ultimate reminder of why building a healthier, more human‑centred model of care matters.
